A Day of Care

On June 17, 2023, the artist Cristian Quinteros invited Soto to participate in a performative work from Tegnérparken in Luthagen to Fjällnora nude beach / nudist beach. We explored the relationship between city and nature, class and conventions while reflecting on the gaze on the body. By travelling by bus from Luthagen to Fjällnora nature reserve, we created a temporary movement reminiscent of city dwellers' movements to get in touch with nature. With this artistic intervention, displacement took on a new meaning. It is not just about the traditional move from the everyday life of the city but becomes an opportunity to redefine our relationship with the body, nature and society. During the intervention, we created together a platform for collective bathing and explore how we can normalize the body in public space. Based on the concept of collective care, we created an environment where nudity and nature merge, where bodies can potentially free themselves from conventions and norms for a moment.
